The Team

Dental Assistant
Erin Kopp, CDA
Dental Assistant

Erin or “Mulley” for short, was an affectionate nickname given by her co-workers so they could differentiate between all the employees named Erin! After more than 20 years at Bailey & Wright Dentistry, and getting married during her tenure, it’s the name she still answers to in the office!

Having started at Bailey & Wright in 1999, Erin is one of our most senior employees that brings a wealth of dental experience to our business and patients. She joined the practice after graduating from her dental assisting program and earning a CDA and radiology licensure in 1996. One of the most rewarding experiences of her professional career was assisting on a 2015 Dental Missions Trip to Guatemala with Dr. Greg Wright through their church. The opportunity to provide dental care to individuals living in poverty-stricken areas was definitely life changing.

Erin is so thankful for all the positive opportunities afforded to her by working at Bailey & Wright Dentistry. She has made several life-long friendships with her fellow co-workers, and truly enjoys the daily patient interaction. Because she has been with the practice for so long, she has been able to watch her patients grow up and begin families of their own! Connecting with patient families has definitely been one of the most rewarding aspects of her job.

Erin was born in Indianapolis, but currently resides in Fishers with her husband, Shaw. Erin and Shaw were married during a destination wedding to Maui, which is extremely fitting for these two travelers! They both love to travel and see the world; you will rarely find Erin without her planner in hand, always making reservations, finding time to vacation, or planning out the next weekend getaway with friends! For this gal on the go, the saying “Don’t stop when you’re tired. Stop when you’re done.” is definitely appropriate!

Erin also enjoys spending time with her family, attending theatre productions, volunteering at the Indianapolis Zoo, and taking advantage of her husband’s gourmet cooking!

Mychal Chandler, RDH
Dental Hygienist

Mychal is one of our dental hygienists and has been with Bailey & Wright since 2013. We are so fortunate to have such a kind and encouraging staff member that enjoys her daily interactions with patients. Mychal says that one of the best things about her job is revisiting with patients every six months—she is always learning something new from them! The other aspect of her job that she loves is having co-workers that are like family. In fact, one of our dental assistants, Nicole, is Mychal’s cousin! They were very close growing up and Mychal always looked up to her, so she feels very fortunate to be able to work with her in a professional setting!

Mychal grew up in Wells County, Indiana. She loved going to the dentist as a child, and she remembers telling her mom at a young age that she wanted to pursue a career in the field of dentistry. After graduating from Southern Wells High School in 2008, she entered the dental hygiene program at Indiana University Fort Wayne. Mychal graduated with an Associate’s Degree in Dental Hygiene from IU Fort Wayne in 2011.

On the weekends, you can find Mychal visiting with family, especially her young niece. She enjoys going on trips with friends to explore new places, as well as reading and learning new things!

Barbara Wiseman, RDH
Dental Hygienist

As a child, Barbara always enjoyed going to the dentist; however, she knew early on that being a dentist was not for her. It was a career in dental hygiene that peeked her interest. So, after graduating from Bishop Chatard High School in 1980 and attending Indiana University-Bloomington, she went on to earn a Bachelor of Science in Dental Hygiene from Indiana University School of Dentistry in 1984.

Barbara has worked as a dental hygienist in Chicago, Illinois and Nashville, Tennessee, but ended back in Indianapolis at Bailey & Wright Dentistry in 2005. She is known around the office as the adventurous one and always has great stories about her large family or places she has visited! Her maternal instincts, combined with a natural ability to connect with patients on a personal level, is one of her greatest strengths. Barbara will always go the extra mile for her dental family, and most importantly, her patients!

Barbara and her husband, Gary, reside in Fairland, Indiana, and have four grown children and two dogs, Scout and Mocha. She enjoys traveling, especially to National Parks and “Sister Trips,” and one day she would love to move out West! In her free time, you can find Barbara cooking in the kitchen and spending time with family and friends.

Erin White, CDA, EFDA
Dental Assistant

Known around the office as “Whitey” because of her last name, Erin White is one of our most tenured employees. She started working at Bailey & Wright Dentistry in 1996 under Dr. David Bailey, our doctor that started Bailey & Wright Dentistry. Erin is a graduate of Warren Central High School and Walker Career Center (go Warriors!). She attained her CDA designation and radiology certification after graduating in 1996. Erin has always demonstrated a passion for her job and her patients. So it was no surprise that she decided to go back to school in the fall of 2019 to earn her Expanded Functions licensure and grow her position. She is excited to be able to perform additional duties and tasks that enable more direct patient care, while giving patients the best treatment possible.

Erin is very outgoing and always has a funny story to share, which is why she puts so many of our patients at ease. Her favorite part about her job is connecting with patients—being able to make a difference in someone’s day—and that she thinks of them more like friends than just a name on a chart!

A lifelong Hoosier, Erin moved to Indianapolis when she was seven from Fort Wayne, Indiana. She and her husband, Rob, have been married for over 20 years! They have two wonderful children—a boy and a girl—and a dog. Erin’s son plays for New Palestine’s football team, and her daughter is very involved in competitive cheerleading. They both keep mom and dad very busy with all their games, practices and travel schedules, but Erin wouldn’t have it any other way! When Team White does have free time they love to travel and explore the outdoors by boat, bike or trail!

One little-known fact about Tiffany is that she has been a patient of Bailey & Wright Dentistry since she was eleven years old! She always enjoyed going to the dentist, so pursuing a career in the field was an easy decision. Tiffany is very dedicated to her front office position, but enjoys interacting with patients and co-workers the most!

Born and raised in Greenfield, Indiana, Shy graduated from Greenfield Central High School in 1996. She went on to attain her dental assisting license from Walker Career Center and graduated in 1997. In 201X, Shy decided to go back to school for additional dental assisting education and interned with Bailey & Wright Dentistry during this time. After finishing her degree at Kaplan College in 2016, Shy began working for our practice as a dental assistant.

Not only does Shy enjoy working with her Bailey & Wright family, but she also looks forward to what each day can bring. She loves being a part of something that can improve the confidence for so many; she looks forward to visits with each patient and taking care of them during their individual procedures.

Shy and her husband, Bradley, are a “Brady Bunch” family, having eight children and three cats between the two of them! Their household is a busy one, with kids’ ages spanning 13 years! In their free time, the family enjoys fellowship with others and in church. They also lead a Bible study once a week in their home. Her favorite verse from Luke 6:38. “Give and it will be given to you, Good measure, pressed down, shaken together, running over, will be put into your lap. For with the measure you use, it will be measured back to you.” Other hobbies for Shy include volunteering, reading, baking and going on walks.

Dr. Greg Wright grew up in Frankton, Indiana (near Anderson). He attended Frankton Jr. Sr. High School, graduating in 1991. During the summer before his junior year, Dr. Wright participated in a cross-country camp at Marian College (now Marian University) in Indianapolis. During some free time he played a competitive tennis match with the camp’s director. Dr. Wright dove for a shot causing his racquet to hit the ground and bounce back into his two front teeth, breaking them. With such severe dental trauma as a teenager, he thought his smile was ruined forever. Fortunately, Dr. Wright had a wonderful family dentist that was extremely personable, accommodating and understanding. During his treatment, which included two root canals and porcelain veneers, Dr. Wright not only remembers the outstanding patient care he received but also how much better he felt with his new smile. Because of this experience, Dr. Wright decided to pursue a career in the field of dentistry. He wanted to be able to recreate that same feeling of confidence for others seeking beautiful smiles.

After high school graduation, Dr. Wright attended Indiana University-Bloomington for his undergraduate degree. After three years, he received early admittance to Indiana University School of Dentistry. In 1998, he graduated from IU School of Dentistry with his Doctor of Dental Surgery (DDS) degree and accepted an offer from his future father-in-law and dental mentor, Dr. David Bailey, as well as Dr. Joseph Bailey, to begin practicing at David E. Bailey, DDS and Joseph M. Bailey DDS, PC in July of that same year.

In 2002, Dr. Wright bought into the practice and its name changed to Bailey, Bailey & Wright Family Dentistry. After practicing for more than 20 years, Dr. Wright still maintains the same mantra, “Treat everyone like family.” Dr. Wright enjoys getting to know his patients and their families and he is extremely proud of the large patient base he and his partners have generated and sustained over the practice’s history.

As a member of the American Dental Association, Indiana Dental Association, and Indianapolis District Dental Society, Dr. Wright is committed to the values of professional dentistry. He is a family and cosmetic practitioner with years of experience utilizing Invisalign as a means to properly align teeth without the use of metal braces.

Outside of dentistry, Dr. Wright has a passion for physical fitness and sharing that with his family. He enjoys being outdoors, running, hiking (especially in National Parks), IU athletics, and spending time with his wife, Charron (Dr. David Bailey’s oldest daughter), and three children, Conner, Logan, and Morgan.

Over the years, Dr. Wright has enjoyed coaching his kids’ baseball, basketball and soccer teams, as well as helping them to achieve their individual running goals. He spends his evenings and weekends watching his kids play soccer and run in cross country and track meets. He is involved in the Boy Scouts of America, having served as an adult leader for both of his sons, as well as supporting them on their path to Eagle Scout. He also finds time to volunteer as a mentor through Fishers Youth Mentoring Initiative, and various ministries for his church.

In 2015, Dr. Wright accompanied other church members on a Dental Mission Trip to Guatemala. Together, they provided free dental care to a number of individuals in a poverty-stricken area. In 2019, he participated in a rigorous 10-day backpacking trip with his two sons arranged by the Boy Scouts of America and the Philmont Scout Ranch. Both of these experiences taught him the importance of conservation and not taking anything for granted.

One fun fact about Dr. Jeff Wright or “Dr. Jeff” is that he is the brother of Dr. Greg Wright. They, along with their sister, grew up in Frankton, Indiana (near Anderson). Although the brothers are seven years apart, they have always had a close relationship. Dr. Greg would often mentor Dr. Jeff on his career path during Dr. Jeff’s high school days.

Dr. Jeff had always been interested in healthcare, but having an older brother that successfully graduated from dental school and started a career at David E. Bailey, DDS and Joseph M. Bailey DDS, PC definitely inspired him to take a closer look at dentistry.

However, it was during this same time that Dr. Jeff was considering a career in architecture. During the summer before his senior year of high school, he attended an Architecture + Planning camp at Ball State University to learn more about architecture, landscape architecture and urban planning. Though he appreciated the camp, he quickly learned there is much more to architecture than drafting—the craft he truly enjoyed. With this insight, Dr. Jeff was able to make a very clear decision to pursue a career as a dentist.

In 1999, Dr. Jeff graduated from Frankton Jr. Sr. High School and began his dental school prerequisites and undergraduate coursework at Indiana University-Bloomington. During his time at IU, Dr. Jeff became an avid cyclist, training and riding in the Indiana University Student Foundation Little 500 race for his fraternity from 2000-2003. In 2003, Dr. Jeff was accepted to the Indiana University School of Dentistry (IUSD) in Indianapolis, and graduated in 2007 with his Doctor of Dental Surgery (DDS) degree.

During this time, Bailey, Bailey & Wright Family Dentistry was flourishing and the need for an additional doctor was essential. With more than 35 years of experience—and many of those years working alongside a brother and a son-in-law—Dr. David Bailey understood the importance of family. Upon his graduation from IUSD, Dr. Jeff was offered a position with the practice.

Over the years, Dr. Jeff has prioritized getting to know each of the families that have been coming to Bailey & Wright since the beginning with Dr. David! Engaging with patients and watching families grow is certainly one of the most rewarding aspects of Dr. Jeff’s job. He understands the importance of cultivating and sustaining relationships with each individual that sits in his chair. Because Dr. Jeff is known around the office for his laid-back and approachable personality, he strives to ensure patients feel the same; it is important that he, along with the Bailey & Wright team, provide a gentle and “family-like” environment and that patients feel comfortable.

In 2010, Dr. Jeff bought into the practice and its name changed to Bailey & Wright Dentistry—a more simplistic approach that still represented the names for both sets of brothers. As a new partner and co-owner, Dr. Jeff wanted to focus on adding additional treatment options for patients, particularly implant placement and restoration.

Today, Dr. Jeff has more than ten years of experience placing and restoring dental implants. Whether it be a single tooth replacement or a full mouth restoration, he is very pleased to offer this treatment choice as a superior option to patients missing one or more teeth. With dental implants, a new smile is always the end result so a great deal of accomplishment for Dr. Jeff is knowing a patient’s confidence restored when treatment is complete.

Dr. Jeff is a member of the American Dental Association, Indiana Dental Association, and Indianapolis District Dental Society.

In his free time, Dr. Jeff enjoys spending time with his wife, Andrea, and their two children, Hudson and Landry. Team Wright also has a senior German Shorthaired Pointer dog named Lucia, affectionately named for the Caribbean island where he and his wife honeymooned in 2006. Dr. Jeff enjoys traveling, running (he has completed over 10 mini-marathons and would like to do a marathon one day), boating, cycling, the Indianapolis 500, IU athletics, and cheering on the Indianapolis Colts. Dr. Jeff also appreciates a good card game, crossword puzzle, board game or jigsaw puzzle.

A lifelong Hoosier, Dr. Joe Bailey or “Dr. Joe” was born in Indianapolis, Indiana. He attended Warren Central High School and graduated in 1979. He continued his undergraduate studies at Indiana University-Bloomington. In 1982 he went on to attend Indiana University School of Dentistry to earn his Doctor of Dental Surgery (DDS) degree in 1986. After graduating from dental school, Dr. Joe began practicing with his older brother and (now retired) founder of Bailey & Wright Dentistry, Dr. David Bailey.

Dr. Joe knew at an early age that he wanted to pursue a career in the health field. Perhaps this was due, in part, to shadowing his pediatric dentist and orthodontist during his childhood or having an older brother that pursued a career in the field of dentistry. Ultimately, Dr. Joe decided to follow in their footsteps and become a dentist.

After practicing for more than 30 years, Dr. Joe is still known around the office for his thoughtful and even-keeled demeanor, which delivers a sense of calm and puts his patients at ease. Providing unparalleled dental care and creating a calming environment for his patients is his top priority. Dr. Joe has fostered and maintained relationships with families that have now been coming to the practice since its' beginning with Dr. David. Being able to cultivate long-lasting relationships with his patients is something he truly enjoys about his job and sets Bailey & Wright Dentistry apart.

Dr. Joe is a member of the American Dental Association, Indiana Dental Association, and Indianapolis District Dental Society. He spends one day a week at Indiana University School of Dentistry as a faculty member advising and mentoring dental students in all areas of the field.

He and his wife, Barb, were married in 1994 and are proud parents to two children, Matt and Lauren. Having coached both kids in sports during their childhood, Dr. Joe now finds himself cheering on the sidelines as they excelled as student-athletes both in high school and college. In addition to his own alma mater (go Hoosiers!), Dr. Joe is now a fan of the Wabash Little Giants, University of Indianapolis (UIndy) Greyhounds, and Notre Dame Fighting Irish. He also enjoys watching the Indianapolis Colts, Indiana Pacers and Cincinnati Reds.

In his free time, you may find Dr. Joe hanging out with Mickey Mouse. His family loves to frequent Disney World on their vacations. In addition to travel, Dr. Joe has taken a recent liking to hiking and following the stock market.

And, in case you were wondering (because many have been asking!), Dr. Joe isn’t looking to retire any time soon. When the time does come, however, he’s planning to dig out years of notes he has been saving to start a series of children’s books.
